 AllChemicalBeatz will be offering Mixing and Mastering services. Mike will evaluate your mix down and let you know what he thinks the possibilities are. Not every mix is ready for Mixing/Mastering.

 This process of Mixing and Mastering is a 3-part art form in unto itself. Mike has been producing, mixing, and mastering music of all styles, since 1996. 

Mike has worked in all mediums with all Analogue and digital formats combined.

Let's start here before I accept any mixes, I would like to offer you my 28 years of wisdom for free.

 I would much rather teach the next generation of mixing artists to become independent and develop their own craft to be proud of. So? That said. It will be very very rare I accept to mix on an outside project.

What is a mix?

What is a mix.  

A Mix or mix-Down is when you combine all the recorded tracks from your song to create a two tracks stereo audio file. All modern-day audio equipment cars tv's headphones etc. Reproduce two track stereo audio this is the worldwide standard. 

For all the I want to jump A-heads? 

Don't even mention 3d audio imaging or 5.1--7.1--9.1 surround sound. 

You're not ready yet.

This will be step 1 in your quest to produce a master copy of your song.

How to get a great mix down?

This is the most critical phase of the process, pay great attention here. 

It is almost impossible to say what is the first thing to do? There are too many. I start with Filter, Filter, Filter and did I say Filter? I can't over stress this is the #1 destroyer of mixes. 

Filtering means?

 Mixdowns are mostly removing all unwanted frequencies or filtering them from your takes and shelving frequencies in their proper frequency ranges. 

EXAMPLE:

Vocal/Condenser mics have a low/high roll off switch on the unit somewhere? 

Find it. If you're using it for vocals and your human? (yes's I'm funny sometimes) there is no need for the lows to be there remove them. Then add another filter on your mixer cut all bass until the voice sounds slightly thin then add back from there. 

If it thinned at 200hz go to 190hz. 

Adding EQ into your mix downs is only for the best engineers. 

You would basically be guessing at the overall gain boost at master volume not easy. You have to be really really good to add any EQ during mixdown and not have it be a disaster in the mastering process.
